Our client is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Greenville, NC. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in primary care, patient assessment, and treatment planning.
Here are the position details:
- You must work 2 days per week (Thursdays and Fridays).
- The position is open to local applicants.
- Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break (hours may vary).
- Compensation for the position is $650 – $900 per day, based on experience, with a bonus opportunity.
- You will be required to attend a 2-day training class.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and review of test results.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Prescribing medications and therapies as appropriate.
- Interpreting X-ray and MRI diagnostic tests.
- Educating patients on health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Here are the requirements:
To be considered for the position, you must have an active physician assistant license in North Carolina. Additionally, a minimum of two years of experience in primary care is required, as well as experience in sports medicine/orthopedic-focused exams and joint injections in an outpatient setting. Strong clinical skills, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is also a must. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.
