Our client is seeking a Sales Consultant (Outside) with experience in healthcare elective procedure sales, specifically in dealing with an out-of-pocket (no insurance) medical practice. The ideal candidate must be proactive and able to take initiative and should possess the skills of a “sales leader” to perform outside sales and marketing functions. They would be expected to meet with local business and industry contacts to discuss the types of treatment procedures offered to patients and provide timely follow-up with leads and prospects to build and maintain professional relationships. 
 
This is a key sales role, and the successful candidate would be expected to increase new patient consultations and treatment sales month over month to grow the clinic’s gross revenue. 
 
Position Details: 
  • The ideal candidate should understand the physiology of each treatment offered and be able to explain it.
  • They would be required to perform daily outreach and marketing activities for clinic and patient growth, and help build a business referral system for all of the new treatment lines.
  • The candidate would work closely with the marketing department to optimize campaigns, and also partner with the Medical Providers and Patient Coordinator for optimum results.
  • The clinics are located in Champaign and Springfield, and the work hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (1 hr. lunch), but they may vary.
  • Compensation is set between $30,000 – $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • There is potential for a bonus tied to sales performance.
  • The candidate must be able to attend a 2-day training class.
Qualifications:
  • To qualify for this position, the candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in customer service, medical terminology, computer skills, medical sales, and outside sales (preferred).
  • They should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a related healthcare industry-based environment and/or elective medical procedures or 5 years as a proven Sales Leader.
  • The candidate should possess interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the right range of contingencies in a diverse community.
  • They should be able to interact with staff in a team environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures is essential.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • The candidate should also be knowledgeable of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
